San Marino 1, Wales 2
(Story by Vince Elm)

First half we did ok. Without really taking them apart, they should have scored a couple of goals.

San Marino put 2 up front instead of 1 and started getting hold of the ball and causing us problems.

Pretty inept second half performance for professional footballers. The team is not clicking, most have retired and no strength in depth, we have problems, no big target men.

If Tosh goes, not a tosh fan, not going to slag him off he's doing the best he can, no one else could make much difference. A lot of welsh team not playing first team football and seem a yard short of the pace, not moving the ball quick enough and ball watching

They are slow and labored in their play, which lack of first team does to a player.

We could do just as well as Northern Ireland and Scotland, with our team playing first team football,

Positives from the game are the young right back had a good steady game, moved ball around, Oldham lad. Negatives, senior players who haven't performed in the last few games, not really good enough not naming names, Joe Ledley did well in centre midfield

Ireland struggling and Germany probably the best team in Europe at the moment, Ireland similar to Wales in transition and retiring players, not too keen on the manager. Germany we can simply right off, far too big a challenge.

At the moment British football is suffering too many foreign players in the big leagues, causing others to play second fiddle and not much game time.

The commitment of the players has not been spot on. International football getting worse each game, until something is done about the influx of foreign players, and putting in these homegrown players this will continue.

None of the British teams can look forward to the world cup, none of us have strength in depth, Wales always had the Ian Rush's, Ryan Giggs, but where are they going to come from now?

All we can hope for is an improvement from the youngsters coming through, we got to give them a chance, Gareth bale/ Joe Ledley etc, the Wolves keeper missed in the last 2 games, got to allow them to come through.

The way for the future is going to be with those players, a couple of them showing they are good enough for international level.  The Cardiff City academy seems to be working; Ramsey will be good for Wales, Gunter, Ledley etc, all from Cardiff.

If we can get into the premiership, and the academy keeps going, we'll be producing players for Wales at all levels, continue doing this and this will be a positive for Wales and Cardiff.

The manner of the win tonight was not good enough; the players need to know that the fans are upset...
